Don’t Touch These Body Parts! It May Harm You

Our body is completely ours and we can touch anywhere we want, though there are some body parts which we should avoid touching frequently. Throughout the whole day, we touch infinite number of things but forget that there are bacteria over them and these bacteria may harm different body parts and sometimes make us fall sick, when come in contact with our hands. Know which are those body parts.

1. Butt

Never touch your butt when back from toilet as bacteria are present there. “Wash your hands immediately if you have touched them by any reason”, says Jared W. of Harborview Medical Center.

2. Face

The excess oil on our fingers can harm the skin of our face, says Adnan Nasir, Advisor of Men’s Health-dermatology. Avoid touching you face again and again once you have washed it.

3. Lips and Mouth

We generally have a habit of keeping our fingers on lips and putting them inside the mouth. But little do we know that we are allowing bacteria to enter inside our mouth. Avoid touching your lips and mouth unnecessarily.

4. Nose

If you have a habit of nose-picking, then you should stop right there. Putting finger inside the nose makes a quick way for bacteria to reach in our body through breath and makes possibilities to fall sick.

5. Nails

Long nails are great dwelling for bacteria. Not cleaning them regularly or biting your nails can harm you. Avoid touching the skin under nails and clean them regularly.

6. Ear

We put our finger many times a day inside our ear but it can harm the thin skin of our ear. If your ear itches, use an ear bud instead of using you finger, says John K. Niparko, MD of Otolaryngology.

7. Eyes

Touching your eyes frequently and rubbing them can cause a bad effect on them. Removing dirt out of our eyes by finger can cause irritation and bacteria can enter in our eyes. Wash your eyes for removing dirt from it, says Ophthalmology Advisor Kimblay.
